The summer is showing out these last few weeks before the 2022 Autumnal Equinox (aka the first day of Fall) in the Northern Hemisphere and I’m here for the cooler temps and sunshine.

What a season it has been traveling through Paris to Africa and back, moving in with my bf for the summer, experimenting with herbal and plant medicine, cultivating a relationship with nature, learning how to nurture and nourish myself, and saying goodbye to curl artistry.

Now, I want to give you some juicy details on what’s slow cooking.

These days, I’m back home in Detroit.

I haven’t lived here in almost 10 years, so being back home is a reminder for me that there is such mystery and adventure in these seemingly ordinary lives of ours when we get curious.

I know that I’m back right now to face the ways that I feel inadequate or unprepared to cope with life. I’m here to strengthen my perseverance. I’m here to settle deeper into my body. I’m here to continue getting to know myself. I’m here for the slower pace. I’m also here to cackle and cuddle up next to my grandma, go on local adventures with my dad, and make tiktok videos with my mom. I’m here still unraveling and simultaneously putting my pieces back together.

Another reason I came back is because I’m beginning a 3-month trauma-informed training with Adria Moses at the School of Radical Healing next week. I applied for a scholarship last winter and was blissed to receive it. Unlike my voyage to Morocco, which revealed to me how emotionally disregulated I’ve been all these years, this training is going to help me continue restoring my capacity, aka what my nervous system can sustainably handle.

I’ve never done anything like this, so I don’t know how it’s going to impact how or when I share, but it’s my intention to be in conversation around the behind-the-scenes of what these next few months look like. I want to share the ebbs and flows of how I’m doing entrepreneurship and sustainability because we’re learning to dive deep beyond the surface over here..

so, this is a call to my co-conspirators. To the ones who feel the call to create a different world, starting with our own worlds, this is going to shift things and I can’t wait to share more as it unfolds.

The training begins next Saturday, September 17th!

In the meantime, I could really use your support.

Sometimes, I wish that I could go back and do some things differently in my life and business, but I can’t. What I can do is be intentional about how I lay the foundations of my life and work moving forward, namely by taking things slow.

For the first time in my life, I’m not in a rush with this vision and I’m not afraid of running out of time. Each day, multiple times a day, I remind myself that there’s enough time to do what I came to this lifetime to do and that’s what makes this feel so sweet for me.

So in the spirit of trusting the unseen magic at work, surrendering to what wants to come into the world through me, and practicing vulnerability aka making space for connection, I’m asking for your help and inviting you to co-create a more communal and integrated world with me.

✨HERE’S 4 WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT THIS WORK✨

Buy a book.

If you want to directly support my studies, you can GIFT ANDRA A BOOK from the required reading list OR send an amazon gift card towards one of the books. The top 4 are for my training specifically, but all of them are for my studies.

Buy a ride.

If you know you know, Detroit’s public transportation system (or lack thereof) is hot garbage, so sending ya girl a LYFT GIFT CARD would be mad helpful too. I’ve already started connecting with local businesses like D-TOWN FARM here and want to be able to do even more of that.

Send some moolah.

As I’m working to begin unraveling from hyperindividualism, I’m open to financial support. I do not have everything figured out and I feel no shame about that because that’s where god meets me, again and again.

Give input.

Comment below and let me know what behind-the-scenes stories you’d like me to share. Right now, I have some ideas, but I’d love to know your idea(s) too! We might just co-create something delicious.

Until next time!

stay curious,

A.

P.S. My trauma-informed training begins on Saturday, September 17th and those first 4 books on the list are the mostimportant. Merci beaucoup for supporting and being on this journey with me.

P.P.S. I can’t wait to follow up about how the Strategy Playdates went last month because they brought up so much, but more on that later.
