Salon Policies + FAQs

Booking your Appointment

Please take time to read through all of the policies before booking an appointment.

How do I book an appointment?

I open my books month-to-month and notify when the schedule is posted via my newsletter.

You can subscribe to the newsletter here.

Note: Be sure to check your email so you can confirm your subscription and officially be added to the list.

Can I book as an "Existing Client"?

You can book an existing client appointment if you’ve had a cut with me in the last 12-16 weeks.

If you miss a maintenance cut appointment, you have six months from your last appointment to book a Tight Curl Maintenance Cut (17+ weeks).

If it’s been 6+ months since your last maintenance cut, book a Tight Curl Rehab Experience.

What if I don't see any appointments available?

If you don’t see any appointments, it means they’ve been booked.

My appointment schedule generally books out for the month within TWO HOURS, so I suggest setting a notification for my emails so you get the link to the calendar.

Is there a deposit to book?

A $55 non-refundable deposit is required for new clients to reserve their appointment and will go towards the total cost of the appointment.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. I accept clients by appointments only.

Am I a considered a new client if I've worked with another Professional Curl Artist?

Yes. If you’ve never had an appointment with me before, you are a new client.

All new clients are required to go through the detox period.

I enrolled in Wash Day Rehab—which appointment do I book?

If you don’t need to go through the education hands-on, you can book a Tight Curl Maintenance Cut (17+ weeks).

If you need to walk through the regimen, step-by-step, and ask questions about products and technique, book a Tight Curl Rehab Experience.

You have six months from the end of your enrollment in Wash Day Rehab to book a Tight Curl Maintenance Cut (17+ weeks).

After six months, book a Tight Curl Rehab Experience.

Will the appointment take the entire hour fours?

The length of your appointment depends on the condition and makeup of your hair and both affect how long you sit under the dryer.

I suggest alloting extra time for your appointment and not scheduling anything immediately after.

What if I need to reschedule?

You can reschedule your own appointment through the confirmation email you received when you booked if there are other appointments available for the month.

If there aren’t any days/times available that work for you, you can cancel up to 48 hours before your appointment with no penalty, and book again in the future.

What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel your own appointment through the confirmation email you received up to 48 hours before your appointment.

Cancellations within 48 hours of your appointment must be requested via email and will result in a $100 fee.

“No-call, no-shows” will be charged 100% of the appointment cost and will have 24 hours to provide reason for absence to avoid losing booking privleges in the future.

The best way to contact me regarding extenuating circumstances is to email hello@andrarenee.com or text/call (312) 298-9494.

Arriving to your Appointment

Please take time to read through all of the policies before booking an appointment.

How should I arrive to my appointment?

You should arrive to your appointment having completed the 30-day detox period with the required products and tools, 3-5 inspiration pictures for your desired shape, and with your hair in a Wash+Go no more than 7 days old.

Note: Failure to comply with this policy will result in the cancellation of your appointment and you will be responsible for the total cost of your appointment.

What if I'm running late?

I intentionally dedicate time for each client’s unique salon experience and arriving late infringes on all of our time and my process.

There is a 5-minute grace period because life happens.

If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, your appointment is subject to a $25 late fee.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled. Aditionally, you’ll be charged the total cost of your appointment.

If you’re going to be late, call me asap at 312-298-9494.

Is there anything else I should do to prepare?

Make sure you’ve thoroughly read the SHAPE Guide—a free download included in your confirmation email after you’ve booked your appointment.

You can manage your expectations by understanding your first appointment is the beginning of your journey, your day 1.

Be mindful that your finished look depends on what you’ve been doing to your hair before your detox period and I work with what you bring in—I’ll elaborate more on this during your appointment.

Also, get excited! This is your opportunity to partner with me in the salon, experience my process, and witness your hair transform.

Plan to take notes if it will be helpful to you to revisit them after your appointment.

After your Appointment

Please take time to read through all of the policies before booking an appointment.

When should I book my next trim?

Depending on what we discussed at your appointment, you should book your Tight Curl Maintenance Cut within 12-16 weeks.

You’ll want to look out for my newsletter the month before you’re looking to book your next appointment.

What if I have questions about my regimen and/or the products?

You can purchase 60-day access to my self-paced online program “Wash Day Rehab” here for at-home support as you learn to master your Wash+Go with professional technique.

I'm overdue for my trim. Which appointment do I book?

Book a Tight Curl Maintenance Cut (17+ weeks) appointment.
